Little by little we are recovering normality and proof of this is that Madrid celebrated its first grand opening on July 11 with the inauguration of ‘Gran Vía 55’. This Grupo Con Fuego space houses 1,300 square meters in four different gastronomic proposals: the Italian Ôven Mozzarella, the hamburger and steakhouse Steakburger, El Clandestino as reserved and The Roastery (the only one scheduled to open after summer)

Located in Gran Vía, 55, it is the perfect mix between an offer based on quality raw materials and an atmosphere that evokes the visitor to immerse themselves in a unique and original environment that reminds of Madrid at the end of the 19th century. Wall to wall with the iconic Lope de Vega Theater, its careful aesthetics evokes the origins of the street on which it stands, the Gran Vía, which this year turns 110.

At the entrance the visitor can see these winks to Madrid at the end of the 19th century thanks to the monumental access door made of wrought iron that recalls the typical iron architecture of the Romantic period. It is precisely in the lobby where the gastronomic experience begins with ‘La Salumeria de Ôven Mozzarella’, a space where you can enjoy cold meats and cheeses in the purest traditional Italian market charcuterie style while the client waits to be served.

Then, after descending the main stairs, the space is divided into two clearly different environments under the same roof: on the right-hand side is Steakburger and, on the left-hand side, down another small row of stairs, is Ôven Mozzarella. Reminiscent of the old cinemas on Gran Vía, the Steakburger space maintains the essence of this established restaurant that stands as the temple for meat and hamburger lovers.

For his part, Ôven Mozzarella, located on the lowest floor of this new gastronomic space, with a decoration that aims to take diners on a trip to the old theaters of Gran Vía, is committed to spoiled Italian cuisine made with 100% fresh ingredients and natural. Finishing the tour of the ground floor, there is ‘El Clandestino’, an intimate space that has a bar to enjoy last minute cocktails and drinks.

Looking towards the end of summer, ‘The Roastery’ will open, located on the highest floor and defined as a healthy space for breakfasts, brunches and snacks with special coffees from around the world and high pastry.
