A collaboration with a common bond: Morocco

SANDRO has invited the French artist and designer Louis Barthélemy to express his universe in a capsule collection together with Evelyne Chetrite, Founder and Artistic Director of SANDRO. Louis Barthélemy is a designer, illustrator, and textile designer who divides his time between Paris, Egypt, and Morocco. His love for Morocco and an intimate attachment to the craft were the meeting points with Evelyne Chetrite. Evelyne grew up in Morocco, in Rabat. From her childhood, she keeps the memory of her grandfather, a shirt tailor, and her abundance of color in her daily life.

This shared desire to celebrate Morocco and its know-how has resulted in a collection with a fresh and modern spirit. Louis envisioned brilliant graphics in scenes of Moroccan life. He was especially inspired by Mohamed Ben Ali R'bati, considered the first modern painter from Morocco. These graphics came to life on fluid materials, silk for shirts, T-shirts and scarves, or polyester for shorts and bloomers. Two Kasbah bags, one of them fully embroidered by hand, also reflect this dreamlike universe.

In addition, a natural straw and leather bucket bag reminds us of SANDRO and Louis Barthélemy's love of crafts. This bag is made entirely by the DOUM FOR WOMEN cooperative. This cooperative is part of an objective of empowering the women of a rural community in Morocco and the preservation of an ancestral know-how: basketry. By upholding traditions in a modern way and sharing their craft with the world, these women gain autonomy and economic independence.

in sailor mode

Sailor mood is the new Celia B collection that will fill this season with sailor stripes, crochet and lots of fun. How could it be otherwise, this Asturian firm reinterprets this style with fresh garments where reference is made directly or indirectly. Fishing nets, starfish, fish, shells and even Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. A very broad symbology where sailor stripes cannot be missing from the classic suits to much finer striped dresses with silhouettes that contrast with that style that we all know.

The firm maintains its essence, and that of its creator, with metallics, crochet designs and its already essential net dresses. Dresses with ruffles in mini or midi format are another essential that remains in each season and that this year it does so in more pastel tones to give a touch of the sweetest to spring looks. There is also no shortage of metallic or fringed garments that have already conquered so much influencers, celebrities and the best-known fashion prescribers. Puffed sleeves, trims, bows or baby collars are other of those characteristics so typical of the Asturian firm that are intermingled this season with designs that come directly from the depths of the sea.

Slow fashion full of color

Tinta & Bariloche is a slow firm created in 1985 by a conscious, timeless and quality fashion family business. Their designs are designed to create a wardrobe staple, betting on a more responsible fashion and dressing with style.

Characterized by its know-how in the manufacture of high-quality garments, it pays attention to detail in all the phases of the process of each piece, ensuring responsible production. Thus, it promotes the slow movement where timeless and limited collections prevail. The woman from Tinta y Bariloche is natural, genuine and full of vitality. The creative design of its clothes, the bold colors and the sophisticated cut of it allow her to express her unique style and great self-confidence.

Guest dresses and jumpsuits, two-piece suits or total looks, mixtures of prints or essential everyday garments, their offer is very wide and varied. Organic cotton, sustainable viscose or recycled fibers are some of the ecological materials that we can find in their commitment to sustainability.

A reminiscence of artistic disciplines

Amarantha Pallás has just presented her new collection for her brand Palaish, characterized by eclecticism and bright colors, the hallmark of the Ibizan designer, who creates her own prints inspired by all artistic manifestations, loaded with harmony and positivity.

As Amarantha explains, her new line is focused on the urban woman and inspired by the artistic manifestations of various disciplines, such as painting, architecture, sculpture.

This artist is known for having created the #mostphotogenicsofainMadrid, on which countless personalities from the Spanish cultural scene have already sat. In addition, she has created El Club Palaish, a showroom in which, in addition to being her workshop, events related to fashion, art and gastronomy are organized and which is becoming one of the fashion and design places in the capital.
