La ropa se "reencarna" en mobiliario de diseño

En un momento en el que la conciencia ambiental y la demanda creciente de soluciones sostenibles cada vez tiene más cabida en la sociedad, surge un nuevo proyecto circular e innovador que transforma el residuo textil en mobiliario de diseño y material de interiorismo. Más allá del reciclaje, RUDI es la primera empresa española en llevar a cabo esta iniciativa pionera con la que dar una segunda vida al textil transformándolo en una nueva materia prima más duradera, y ofrecer así a la industria una salida que combina la elegancia del diseño con el respeto al medio ambiente. 

Su fundadora, Elena Hinrichs, con más de 20 años de experiencia en el sector de la moda y tras haber pasado por Nueva York, Shanghái e Inditex se centró en encontrar la manera de aprender a sacar partido a los 100 millones de toneladas de ropa que acaban cada año en los vertederos. Su objetivo era cuidar los recursos naturales del planeta convirtiendo los productos desechados en la base de nuevos materiales para una sociedad más responsable y como vía de un nuevo modelo productivo basado en la innovación y con las personas en el centro de todas las actividades”.
